LED
1.) just downloaded the artpack for Pixelcade LED and absolutely love the additional offerings it brings. I noticed for example:

Tmnt22pu_01.gif
Tmnt22pu_02.gif
Tmnt22pu_03.gif

are not in the art browser under arcade animations or arcade marquees, but they are in their correct folder of Pixelcade/mame. If I wanted to add these to the art browser to display when my Pixelcade isn’t interfacing with my front end, would I just copy the files to Pixelcade\animations and static marquees to Pixelcade\images? Are these two folders also where I would place homemade images that I don’t intend to interact with my FE, but want to view in the art browser?

LCD
1.) Switching gears to Pixelcade LCD, if I wanted to play around with hooking it up via HDMI cable without screwing anything up Pixelcade related, would I perform a safe shutdown so the screen reads no signal and than hook up via HDMI? Not even sure what I’d trying to be accomplishing here, just more curious than anything.

2.) How can I change the 3 default Pixelcade images (retro noir, arcade classic etc) for LCD to something of my choosing or self creation?

3.) I understand how the uploader works, but if I want to tweak an image that already exists on Pixelcade LCD, how can I access that file to download so I may edit and reupload?

4.) I noticed there is no longer an LCD Marquee uploader exe like the website shows under the how to upload section with the latest software release. Does this mean we use the LCD Video Uploader now for both Jpegs(static) and MP4s(animations)?

5.) Lastly when Pixelcade LCD signs off and says thanks for playing, there appears to be some ghosting of the grid that’s used on the Pixel Noir image. It will stay like this until I shutoff Pixelcade. Just curious if it’s an intentional design or something to worry about.

Thanks in advance!

you could try copying those but to be honest, I"m not sure, have not tested that if the art browser supports multiple iterations of the same marquee, I am thinking not actually

yep that should be fine

there is not a way to do that right now, sorry

3.) I understand how the uploader works, but if I want to tweak an image that already exists on Pixelcade LCD, how can I access that file to download so I may edit and reupload?
assuming you have a 2nd gen pixelcade LCD, use the iOS app to replace existing artwork. For additional / new artwork, I am working on an uploader utility that you'll run from windows, don't have an ETA on that yet though.

4.) I noticed there is no longer an LCD Marquee uploader exe like the website shows under the how to upload section with the latest software release. Does this mean we use the LCD Video Uploader now for both Jpegs(static) and MP4s(animations)? see above

Just curious if it’s an intentional design or something to worry about. the shutoff video does have a grid background but would need to see a pic of what you are referring to

Thanks, very helpful. One more thing, is there a way to add art for a console that currently doesn't have anything for 2nd gen LCD or is that on the way too? I understand the replace option through iOS, but was wondering for things that currently don't have a console specific image.

Thanks again

at the moment no, but in the mean time, if there are specific new console requests, I can add them in an update

Ok great I will make a list. My drive also has a lot of game collection or compilation wheels I planned to make art for that maybe wouldn't be relevant to everyone. So the functionality for the user to add console/wheel art in the future would be great. Also I'm sure for example there is a gun games image for Super Pixelcade LCD, but my wheel is called shotgun collection or something to that effect. The ability to manipulate the console image file names like LED would be helpful too. Overall, I love the product, just some quick feedback. Thanks
