First off - is there something with brackets in a filename that will choke Pixelcade up? I did a quick search and came upon a thread where it was suggested that CURL "globbing" may cause issues, and that'd explain some problems I'm having with some newly-translated roms. In the past, I believe I may have removed the brackets when processing, but I figured I'd keep them in so that I could have multiple versions and credit the translators - problem is, now when I browse to those in Launchbox, Pixelcade either freezes momentarily, or freezes until I "ctrl+c" in the Pixelcade Listener window and get back into BigBox. Nothing shows up in the log starting from when I enter the platform to when I exit.

If that's the issue - is there any workaround outside of renaming all of my files?

Second, and less importantly, is there a way to tell Pixelcade to ignore anything in parenthesis? I understand that it may be useful for some people to separate marquees by region, but I've had a few issues with slight variations in file names causing marquees to not come up.

For example, I've got a bunch of Visual Pinball files that I had to pretty much duplicate because my versions had slightly different variations in the () - distributors, years, etc. My Amiga files "match", but they've got versioning info included that would make it borderline impossible to share my own image files or use someone else's

I noticed gifs work like that within Pixelcade, so I was wondering if there was an option I was missing somewhere, maybe. If not, no biggie - I'll just manually get them working.

Thanks!

it's a known issue right now with some special characters, sorry no way to get around that for now other than renaming

Gotcha - figured, but I wanted verification before I thought about renaming. Thanks for getting back to me!
