Have the Bitpixel connected to a PC using USB and it seems to run the sports ticker just fine for 5-10 min then drops the connection. Have turned off USB timeous, tried different USB cables, and reloaded the firmware on the mini sd card. Have also tried on 2 different laptops with the same results. Have this same issue happening on 2 recently bought Bitpixels ordered via Amazon.
not sure what is happening there. sorry, you'll need take that up with AtGames.

i have about the same problem when i change an image the usb conection is gone and that happens often
@dulkenraad can you re-create it or it's random? If you can re-create, shoot me steps and will try on my end
i can re-create it but it happens on multiple images if you change them you can see it in the video of me what i did .but it's always the same images where it happens @pixelcade-admin
send a few sequences if you don't mind and will try and re-create on my end and also are you seeing this only in pixelcade companion or also from your front end?
it happens on both the front end and the pixelcade companion
here's a step-by-step guide how it produces the bug for me
1. start the pc, and start all the software (hyperspin, pixelcade companion)
2. i start the companion app and select one of the gifs
3. if i choose the wrong gif then it tries to load the gif and crashes after
4. both on the program and the front end crash
i attached the gifs where it crashes, there are more of these where it crashes but these are just some examples that i found. some gifs that i attached could not load so maybe the gifs themselves are corrupt
it also happens on the other pixelcade software versions.
for example pixelcade LED 4.4.7, and pixelcade LED 5.0 beta
the names of the gifs that did not want to attach
ARCADE_Marvel_RattenJager.gif
ARCADE_NEOGEO_Hvm6_RattenJager.gif
ARCADE_StreetFighterAlpha2-V2_RattenJager.gif

something to try, I've seen a few cases where USB 3 ports had issue so try another USB port, preferably a USB 2 one if you have
I tried that but the problem still remains.
have now also tried it on another PC with the same result where the software stops.
i think i've already found the problem i tried another pouwer source and now it looks like everything is working fine.
oh that's great, that makes sense as if the board is not getting the required amount of voltage, the board will reset and you'll get a disconnect. You would see that on images that have more white for example which drives more amps and can cause a voltage drop and hence a beefy power supply that can keep up is needed. That's why it's key to always use the power supply that ships with Pixelcade. Thanks for updating on this one.
