Windows 7 Installation Guide

Some extra steps are required for Windows 7 users:

Step 1: Install the Pixelcade LED board driver manually as Windows 7 will not automatically detect Pixelcade LED boards.

For V1 Boards (black color), download driver

For V2 Boards (purple color), download driver , click download raw file

And then install in Windows device manager

Step 2: Run the normal Pixelcade installer and note you’ll see a few error messages during the installation. After the installation finishes, manually overwrite <your Pixelcade installation folder>\pixelweb.exe with this version of pixelweb.exe

Step 3: Launch pixelweb.exe and note you won’t see any command line output. Then open a browser on your PC and navigate to http://localhost:8080

You’ll then see the Pixelcade Companion Web UI

Click “Manage Artwork” and then click the “Update/Install Artwork” button.

Give it around 15 minutes or so for the artwork download to finish and then check your Pixelcade folder. If you see these folders, then you’re all set.
