PIXEL: LED ART Android App
Using this option, you’ll manually control Pixelcade from an Android phone and it won’t dynamically change from your arcade front end.
Step 1: Change the toggle switch to the “BT” position on the Pixelcade board
Step 2: Plug in the Bluetooth dongle to the USB connection on the Pixelcade board
Step 3: Get the PIXEL: LED ART Android App
Step 4: Bluetooth pair to the Pixelcade board which will show up as “PIXEL”, use pairing code: 0000
Step 5: From the PIXEL:LED ART Android app, choose < Settings > , < PIXEL Model >, and select < Arcade Marquee 128×32 >. You should now see some additional arcade pixel art.
Step 6: Tap an animation or image.
Or long tap to save / write the animation or image to Pixelcade such that it will remain once your Android phone has been disconnected. Note that there will be some lag when displaying animations.
Step 7: Add your own custom designs
Create your artwork using any image editor like Photoshop, GIMP, MS Paint or an Android pixel art creation app and then share the PNG or GIF to the PIXEL:LED ART Android app. If you created the artwork on your PC or Mac, then email to yourself and share from your Android email app to the PIXEL:LED ART app.
