I recently built a cab using an older pc that runs Steam games through the GameEX frontend as well as mame and a few other emulators ..will there be any Steam support in the future..especially games like Tekken 7, UMvC3, and Dead or Alive 6. just name a few

yes, it's just a matter of renaming artwork . Go ahead and shoot me the log file output when you are browsing these games through GameEx and then I can update the artwork repo with them. To do that:
Launch GameEx and scroll through all the Steam games you want
then alt-tab to the Pixelweb window and copy and paste the output here
