Hello,

I'm creating this topic because I'm really interested in having a dynamic marquee but I'm a bit lost.

I've been looking on the internet and came across your website and your Pixelcade LED. As I'm from France, I assume that VAT is not included in the price of your DIY kits.
I then looked on the Internet to see if there were any resellers in Europe and I came across the ATgames site, which seems to offer the same thing with the BitPixel LED.
To make matters worse, looking at your tutorials on Youtube and your website, as well as forums (Reddit), it seems that the Pixelcade is exactly the same thing as the Bitpixel and that you manufacture both products?

Since I'm not lucky enough to have an arcade terminal, I decided to transform my computer desktop to give it the look of one.
This would be done by plugging into my PC (Windows 11) and using various software such as Hyperspin. The aim would be for the markers to be displayed automatically when a game is launched.

Could you please tell me if this would work on my PC, if the two products are identical and which best solution I should turn to, bearing in mind that in any case I'll be taking the paid versions of your softwares?

Finally, I saw that all this was compatible with PinballFx3 which I have on Steam. Does this mean that it is possible to create and use dynamic markers for all Steam games or is Pinball Fx an exception?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

AtGames licensed the Pixelcade tech and software for BitPixel, BitPixel was manufacturer by AtGames but they no longer are licensed to sell them, although you may be able to find a used one. Yes correct, VAT tax is not included, we ship from the US.

Pixelcade LED marquees will function as a DMD with FX2, FX3, and FX (steam versions) too. DMD info here https://pixelcade.org/pindmd-guide/

hope that helps, let me know if you need any more info

Hello,

Thank you for your valuable information.
I'm finally going to choose one of your kits and leave the BitPixel behind.

I still have a few questions, please.

I'm hesitating between a DIY kit and one of your pre-made kits (I'm thinking of the Arcade Guys 32 or maybe another depending on the dimensions I need to measure). Can you confirm that the ready-made kits will also work on my PC?

I also plan to buy the "Pixelcade Art Pack" and the "PinUp Popper LED Art Pack", so I'll have dynamic markers for arcade games and pinball machines?

Finally, will I need a US/EU plug adaptor or indeed another power supply?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

sure, happy to help. if you didn't already see it, size and mount info here https://pixelcade.org/mounting/

but shoot over marquee dimensions via this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfgo6TdOY7ay224p8wk4KzrUDSF73V2eBRoZgwmqvF28JB2mQ/viewform and can better advise which way to go

regardless, the DIY kits and pre-assembled mounts have exactly the same software functionality, no differences there, just the mounting

we ship with a 120/220V 5V, 10A power supply with US plugs so you'll just need a US to EU adapter, the power supply itself goes 220V so just the adapter, you don't need a voltage converter

BUT if you are PC based, we have a new option coming out in ~2 weeks if you can wait until then that will allow you to power Pixelcade LED off your PC power supply using this custom SATA cable , see here https://youtu.be/Gb2sOojMP4E?si=lzzJv2DMcswyQznu . So if you are PC based, this is really the way to go as Pixelcade will turn on and off automatically with your PC.
